In the following, we will show you how to create a page template and then use it to create new pages. As the name suggests, these serve as templates for the creation of pages. If, for example, you frequently create pages with the same or similar structure, it is usually worthwhile to create a page template and reuse it repeatedly.Documentation Index

Step 1: Navigate to the Page Templates Menu
To access the page templates menu, first navigate to the Structure tab by clicking on “Structure” in the top bar. Then select the page templates menu from the list on the left side.You should now have arrived in this menu.

Step 2: Create and Edit Page Templates
Here you can create a page template by clicking on the “Plus” icon with the label “New” below it.You can edit a template by double-clicking on it.A window should then open with the heading “Create New Template”. Creating such a template works in exactly the same way as creating a new page.For more information on creating a page, see Create Pages.


Step 3: Use Page Templates
To use such a template, navigate to the Pages menu by clicking on “Pages” in the list on the left.There, create a new page by clicking on the “Plus” icon with the label “New” below it.In the window that opens, you will find the option “Create from Template” at the top. Click on it and then select the desired template from the list that opens.The page creation window should then open, having adopted all the settings from the template.


You have now created a page template and used it successfully.
