A page template is the blueprint for a page: structure, metadata, and active building blocks are predefined. When creating a new page or shopping experience, you select the template and apply everything in one go. This saves time, especially for more complex pages.
You manage page templates under Templates → Page Templates. The list displays the description, status (Active), URL slug, and the modification date.

Creating a Page Template

Open Templates → Page Templates and click + New. The “Create New Template” dialog is organized into several sections.

General

Via Show more you can access further settings.

Metadata

Browser title, meta description, meta keywords, and canonical. These values are passed as defaults to pages created from the template and can be overridden per page.

Synchronize Page Content

Optionally, you can have the template content updated automatically via AI:

Building Blocks

For each template, you use a toggle to define which global building blocks appear, e.g. Header Logo, Header Account, Search, Header Cart, Language Selector, Header Top Navigation, Header Trust, Footer Copyright, Footer Payment Info, Footer Shipping Info, Footer Social Media, Footer Newsletter, Footer Quality, Footer Trust, Footer Info, Shop: Modal Login, Shop: Login Trust, and AI Button.

Layout Files

Here you link optional layout files to the template. By default, no records are present.

Publishing

Save via Save or Save and close.

Editing Template Content

Select a template and click Edit (or double-click). You land in the standard Builder, exactly as with a page. Via the header bar, you can access:
  • + New: Add content and building blocks to the template
  • dc Copilot: AI support for the build
  • Page Settings: Metadata and template options
  • Preview: View the template
You create content here exactly as on a page. More on this under Page Content.

Using a Template

When creating a new page or shopping experience, you will find the Create from template option at the top of the dialog. Select the desired template, and the new page inherits all settings and content.
If you have entered a description in the template, it will be copied along and may be marked as a copy. Review the description of the new page once more at the end.

Creating Pages

Create new pages, also from a template.

Page Content

Create and edit content in the Builder.

Collections

Define the structure for collections.

Layouts

Design layout areas and classes.
