Here we show you how to enable a salesperson for a webshop. Fundamentally, please note that you must first create a salesperson in the system in order to be able to enable them for the webshop at all. The salesperson chosen here as an example is created by default in NAV and is called “Joachim Ritter” with the code “JR”.

Step 1: Open the Salesperson List

Navigate to the Salespersons/Purchasers area by entering “Salespersons/Purchasers” in the search.

Step 2: Open the Salesperson Card

Select the row with the desired salesperson you want to enable for the webshop, here “Joachim Ritter”.Click the “Edit” FastTab in the “Manage” ribbon to open the Salesperson/Purchaser Card.

Step 3: Define E-Commerce Data

Scroll all the way down in the Salesperson/Purchaser Card and click the “E-Commerce” FastTab. In our example, we want to enable the salesperson for a sales representative portal with a German language code.For this example configuration, we choose the following settings:
  • Webshop Shop Code: “SALES”
  • Webshop Language Code: “DEU”

Step 4: Send Email

In order to be able to send the appropriate webshop access credentials to the salesperson, you must enter the salesperson’s email address in the “Webshop Login Email Addr.” field. In our example, we enter lorenz@contoso.com and click the “Send Access Credentials” FastTab in the “Home” ribbon. You can close the notification window that subsequently appears by clicking “OK”.
