With our Shipping Costs extension, you have the option to conveniently calculate the shipping costs for an order. In addition, you can add these to the order as shipping lines with just a few clicks. In the following, we show you how to calculate the shipping costs on the order and generate the corresponding shipping lines.

Step 1: Open an Order

You can access a customer’s orders via the customer card. You can find this through the search.In the customer card, you can open the order overview for the respective customer via the “Orders” FastTab, which is located in the “Navigation” menu.In our example, we have opened the order overview of the “Adatum Corporation”.

Step 2: Create or Edit an Order

There you open the card of a sales order. This works either by creating a new order or editing an existing one.In our example, we edit an arbitrary order.

Step 3: Calculate Shipping Costs

You can now calculate the shipping costs via the “Process” menu and the “Calculate shipping costs” FastTab.
If only one valid shipping option exists, it is automatically inserted as a line into the order. If several shipping options are valid, you can select the desired option directly afterwards and confirm with a click on “OK”.
In our example, several shipping options are possible, which is why we choose “DHL Express” and confirm this.

Step 4: Check Shipping Lines

Finally, you can check and adjust the inserted shipping lines in the order.
The shipping costs for the order are now calculated and added. You can therefore post, release, or similar directly.
