These recommendations help keep your coupon campaigns clear and easy to control.

Creating codes

  • Descriptive codes: Use a prefix/suffix when generating, so that codes match the campaign (e.g. WERT10-...). The random middle section still ensures uniqueness.
  • Generate instead of typing: Do not create individual lines manually, but have them generated. This avoids errors.

Controlling validity

  • First open, then active: Leave the Activate generated coupons toggle off during generation if the codes should only be enabled when handed out to customers. You can release them individually later.
  • Limit campaign duration: Set a start/end date to cleanly delimit campaign periods.

Limiting misuse

  • Cap usages: With Max. number of usages, you prevent a code from being redeemed an unlimited number of times.
  • Minimum order value: With From amount, you link a discount to a cart value.
