# Search Statistics

> Analyze search terms entered by visitors, including frequency and number of results.

The search statistics show which terms visitors have entered into your web shop's search. For each term, you can see how often it was searched for and how many results the search returned. This helps you optimize your assortment and search.

<Info>
  This feature is only available if you also use **dynamic commerce**.
</Info>

## Opening the search statistics

Open **Statistics → Search Statistics**. Use the filter bar to configure the analysis:

* **Shop**: Web shop whose search queries are analyzed (e.g. b2b portal, b2c web shop, product catalog, sales representative portal, Amazon marketplace)
* **Sorting**: Order of the results, by **Frequency** or **Results**, each ascending or descending
* **From** / **To**: Start and end date of the analysis period

For each entry, the list shows the **search query**, the **frequency** (how often it was searched for) and the **results** (number of matches).

## Analyzing the search statistics

<Tip>
  Pay particular attention to search queries with **0 results**: If something is frequently searched for but returns no matches, it is either missing from the assortment or visitors are spelling the term differently than it is stored. You can specifically add or adjust both so that the search returns matching results.
</Tip>

Use **Reset search statistics** to delete the recorded search queries and start the analysis anew.

<Warning>
  Resetting permanently removes the previously recorded search data.
