Set up a Vendor Search

In the following guide we show you how to activate a Customer for the vendor search.

Vendor search means that customers can find out which other vendors are also selling the desired product in their shop.

It is important to note that you must create a customer in order to use it for the search at all.

The customer selected here as an example is the ‘Adatum Corporation’ with the Customer No. ‘10000’.

Step 1: Open the Customer list

Navigate to the customer area by searching for ‘Customers’.

Step 2: Open the Customer card

Select the row with the Customer you want to activate for the vendor search. In our example it is the ‘Adatum Corporation’.

Then click on the fast tab ‘Edit’ in the ribbon bar ‘Manage’ to open the Customer Card.

Step 3: Set Webshop Permissions

Now you need to open the Webshop Permissions for the customer. This can be done by clicking on the fast tab ‘Webshop Permissions’ in the ribbon bar ‘Process’. Then the ‘Webshop Customer Link’ will be opened.

Step 4: Activate the customer for the Vendor Search

Simply select a webshop and then check the box ‘Vendor Search Active’ in order to activate the customer for the Vendor Search.

In our example we choose the webshop with the Shop Code ‘B2C-DEMO’ and the Language Code ‘ENU’. Also we check the box ‘Vendor Search Active’.
